Beijing Imperial Highlights
Our most requested Beijing programme. The day is built around the Forbidden City’s timed entry and the walking distances between the square, the palace and the streets around them — not around the number of stops we can squeeze in.
Groups arrive early, walk the square while it is still quiet, and enter the palace on their slot with a guide who briefs the group before the security check rather than after it.
The route in outline
- Tiananmen Square at opening hour — group photograph before the crowds build
- The Forbidden City — timed entry and a route through the central axis
- The Great Hall of the People — exterior view on the west side of the square
- The central axis on foot, with stops for the group to rest and photograph
Why groups choose it
It is a compact, high-value day that works for almost any profile: first-time visitors, older groups and mixed-age families all see the landmarks they came for without a punishing schedule. Every element can be extended or trimmed when we build the proposal.
Practical notes
Entry rules for Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City change from time to time, and the palace closes on Mondays. We confirm current rules, opening days and slot availability in writing before you sell the departure.
Walking is on stone paving with steps at the palace gates. Tell us about mobility needs when you brief us and we will adjust the route and the vehicle drop-off points.
